PERSONAL PROFILE:
Barbara Jade Triton is an artist whose printed, painted and stitched works celebrate our own
individuality in the face of darkness and confusion.
Formally trained as a printmaker whose work was photographically based, she received a BA in
Studio Art Printmaking from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1990 before moving
to San Francisco and exhibiting her work in galleries throughout California. She currently
lives and works in NYC where by day she is the financial director for the non-profit
Teachers & Writers Collaborative, and by night she creates.
