Our little cottage at Clove Cottage in High Falls
near New Paltz.

This was our view from the front porch.
It was pretty rural there; very quiet & peaceful!
Clove cottage website is: http://www.clovecottages.com

Our backyard had a hammock. We saw a lot of deer from here.

During the day on August 30th we checked out the court house
where we were going to get married, as well as the post office
so that we could mail our announcements afterwards!

Judge Riechler recently wrote a decision dismissing charges against
2 unitarian ministers for performing marriages on same sex couples.
She was quoted as saying: " 'Mixed-sex couples who do not love each
other can marry. Couples who do not even like each other can marry,'
Reichler said. 'There can be no constitutional rationale for denying
same-sex couples the right to receive the benefits that are so lavishly
bestowed on mixed-sex couples.'" Go Judge Reichler! We need more
love in this country, not less!

Here were our witness. New Paltz only holds court on Monday and
Wednesday night, which is why we got married late on Monday night.

The married couple!

This is the monument marking Huguenot street in New Paltz.
Its the oldest street in the U.S. with the original homes
still standing. Most of the buildings come from the late 1600s.
